Our History
Famine
CARE responded to some of the centuries worst famines in Kenya and other regions of Africa.
Canada
CARE Canada took over CARE USA when it first became operational as a lead member on an international basis
HIV Programs
CARE started the first AIDS education programs in Kenya and Rwanda.
The Beginning

We became the principal recipients of funding from the Global Fund Fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for Kenya.
DADAAB Refugee Camp
Through the Refugee Assistance Program CARE became the lead implementing partner for UNHCR.
